For Immediate Release

MIAMI, Fla. — June 30, 2026 — WD Capital Group, a Miami-based real estate capital advisory firm, announced today that it has arranged an $85.5 million construction loan for MIRAI Design District, a transformative mixed-use development comprising approximately 90,000 square feet in Miami’s Design District. Working on behalf of the ownership, WD Capital Group structured and arranged the financing to advance vertical construction of one of Miami’s most architecturally significant mixed-use projects.

“Construction financing requires a thoughtful balance between leverage, execution certainty, and long-term business plan objectives,” said Emile Schachter, Managing Partner at WD Capital Group. “MIRAI represents a truly differentiated development opportunity within one of the most dynamic submarkets in the country, and this financing reflects continued lender confidence in exceptional, design-led projects.”

MIRAI is designed as the first mixed-use project in the United States by internationally acclaimed architect Kengo Kuma and his firm, Kengo Kuma and Associates. The development pairs curated luxury retail at street level with Class-A office space above, conceived as a refined urban environment where architecture, commerce, and culture intersect.

The Miami Design District continues to attract significant capital, driven by luxury retail demand, high-income residential growth, international tourism, and corporate migration. With limited opportunities for new large-scale development within the district, projects offering architectural distinction continue to draw strong interest from capital providers, retailers, and office users alike.
